FATTAFIT SPEAKS TO COACH KRIS FROM THE OUTFIT ABOUT DEALING WITH FAILURE WHILE TRAINING. MANY OF US BECOME DEMOTIVATED AND GIVE UP BECAUSE OF THIS VERY IMPORTANT REASON. FOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK TO STAY UPDATED
One of the biggest reasons why people fall of the road to a fit and healthy life is because they “don’t see results” quick enough. What they forget is the “context”, the many years of abuse the body has already undergone. A few months in the gym cannot heal years of bad lifestyle and habits. It is important in these moments to accept failure and understand why it happens.
Patience and practice are the two important attributes to keep in mind when you sign up for a gym membership. Forget about weight loss, toning up, lifting heavy, etc. focus on the fact that you are here to change your life forever. This is not a quick fix solution!
As a Coach I share a lot of advice with my team, but the most important lesson is never be scared to fail. Be it in life or in your workouts. Unless you experience that failure, you will not have the heart to go back out there and prove to yourself that you can do it. This is the moment you push yourself to the next level.
MANY FAILED ATTEMPTS FOR THE CLEAN
During training especially there will be many low moments, at this time forget about the rest of the world and what they think. It is what you think about yourself that matters. You will want to achieve that hand stand or lift 100kgs or just perfect your squat, but you don’t see the success quickly even after a lot of hard-work.
I prepare myself to fail everyday, this way I know what my weakness is and how I can go about making it my strength. The key is to keep going, to go back out there and try to make each repetition count, fixing the flaws and just practicing repeatedly.
NAILED IT AFTER COUNTLESS DAYS OF PRACTICE
Lastly it doesn’t matter if you are lifting a 5kg’s or 150kg’s unless you learn how to fail, you will not learn how to LIFT or get better and stronger. This is a journey just like the rest of your life and it is about who you are and how hard you will work. Failures are your stepping stones for success. Turn everything negative into a positive.
Cherish every minute, everyday of your life. live. love. lift.
